Practitioner Profile: Haley Blumenfeld – Individual and Couple Therapist
Haley Blumenfeld is a Registered Social Worker with a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Toronto. As an Individual and Couple Therapist at Proactive Pelvic Health Centre, Haley works with individuals of all ages with a diverse range of concerns and experiences, including but not limited to symptoms related to a mental health condition, feelings of being unable to cope with the stress in their lives, relationship issues, low self-esteem, and grief.
Haley has always been particularly passionate about women’s mental health and has a specialty practice focusing on reproductive well-being. Common concerns include role transition challenges, anxiety, infertility, postpartum depression, birth trauma, childhood trauma, and pelvic prolapse. Haley recently completed a Practicum at Women’s College Hospital in the Reproductive Life Stages (RLS) Program where she provided psychotherapy to women and their families around a variety of obstetrical issues.
Haley appreciates that engaging in therapy is a vulnerable and courageous undertaking, and aims to create a space that is warm, non-judgmental, and collaborative. Haley offers a client-centered approach that is highly individualized to each of her client’s unique needs, goals and strengths. Her approach to therapy is eclectic and integrates techniques from several evidence-based models that she has received graduate level training in, including; Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, Interpersonal Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care and Motivational Interviewing.
