Registered Physiotherapist – Pelvic Health
Leeanna graduated with honours and high distinction from the University of Toronto in 2004 earning her Bachelor of Science Degree with a specialty focus in Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology. Her volunteer work throughout university in an orthopaedic physical therapy setting ignited her love for the profession and she subsequently went on to complete her Masters in Physical Therapy degree from the University of Toronto in 2006.
Over the last 9 years, Leeanna has gained extensive experience working with men, women, and children of all ages in a number of orthopaedic settings. She has continued to pursue her goal of lifelong learning through the completion of numerous post graduate courses which have focused on enhancing her manual therapy and clinical reasoning skills for many orthopaedic conditions. Over the years, she enjoyed acting as clinical supervisor for University of Toronto Physical Therapy students.
In 2012, upon experiencing, first hand, the numerous physical and emotional challenges that pregnancy and childbirth can present, Leeanna’s professional focus shifted toward women’s health and rehabilitation of the pelvic floor. She pursued post graduate training in pelvic floor rehabilitation with a focus on pregnancy, incontinence, pelvic pain, and prolapse. Her experience and training in a pelvic health specialty, for both adults and paediatric clients, has only enhanced and strengthened Leeanna’s passion for the field.
Leeanna is committed to providing her client’s with the highest quality of care possible. Her empathetic nature ensures that she takes the time to truly listen to and understand her client’s needs and concerns. She understands the importance of education and collaboration in order to empower and motivate her client’s along their path to recovery.
In Leeanna’s spare time, she is often found running after her two very active children at the local playground or putting on family dance parties at home.
