Registered Physiotherapist – Pelvic Health
Melissa Wong obtained her Masters of Physiotherapy degree from McMaster University in 2011 after graduating from the University of Waterloo’s Honours Co-op Kinesiology program in 2009. She has completed post-graduate training in Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation in both adult and pediatric populations, and treats women, men, and children for a variety of issues including incontinence and pelvic pain. She also has additional training in Acupuncture and regularly uses it as an adjunct to her treatment.
Melissa has over 10 years of experience in numerous healthcare roles, and eight years of experience specifically in rehabilitation and physiotherapy. In addition to pelvic health, her work experience includes outpatient orthopedics and pediatric physiotherapy (newborns to young adults).
Melissa is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA), the CPA’s Orthopedic, Pediatric, and Women’s Health divisions, as well as a member of the International Children’s Continence Society.
Whether treating adults, adolescents, or children, Melissa is dedicated to delivering high quality patient care and education. Her professional, compassionate nature allows her to work collaboratively with her clients to ensure positive outcomes and empowerment.
