Adrienne Bairstow, PhD, RSW, RP, RFMT

Adrienne Bairstow is a Registered Social Worker, a Registered Psychotherapist, a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist, and a Certified Sex Therapist. She has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Human Sexuality Studies (clinical concentration) from Widener University. She also has a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Toronto, and a Master’s in Education in Human Sexuality (MEd) from Widener University. Adrienne has additional graduate level training in couple therapy and sex therapy from the University of Guelph.

Adrienne works with both individuals and couples, and has a specialty practice focusing on relationship and sex therapy. Common concerns include communication, conflict resolution, infidelity, pelvic pain, low desire, erectile dysfunction, and compulsive sexual behaviour. Adrienne has 10 years experience as a therapist. She draws from her training in Emotionally Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) using a strengths-based approach to help clients improve their quality of life, and their relationship and sexual satisfaction.

Adrienne is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSW # 817242), a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO # 005376), a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist with the Canadian Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (CAMFT #2017503), and a Certified Sex Therapist with the Board of Examiners in Sex Therapy and Counselling in Ontario (BESTCO). She is a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW).
